Fran Townsend Joins CBS News as National Security Analyst

CBS News has named Fran Townsend a senior national security analyst, effective immediately.

Townsend will contribute to CBS News coverage of homeland security, foreign policy counter terrorism and intelligence, and appear on the network’s digital streaming service, CBSN.

Townsend, a former homeland security and counter terrorism advisor to President George W. Bush, previously served as a national security analyst for CNN.
