Fox’s “Family Guy” Takes Shots at Fox News Channel

By Chris Ariens

On Sunday’s “Family Guy,” Lois Griffin becomes a reporter for Fox News Channel. And the show’s producers didn’t hold back in their stereotypical portrayal of FNC. Brian, the family dog, says Fox News is “evil and they distort the truth and they do the bidding of the Republican party.” On the other hand, while taking a tour of an animated Fox News, Stewie, finds, “This whole place feels like a warm blanket.”

There were also shots at Ann Coulter, Al Gore, and a twist involving Michael Moore, Rush Limbaugh and Fred Savage.

Also on Sunday’s show, a cameo from News Corp.’s departing president Peter Chernin. The LATimes’ reports today Chernin recorded his part last year which means this script has been in the works for some time.
