Fox Splashes Tuesday Cable Wins

FNCAd21st Century Fox took out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal today touting three of its cable networks’ wins, all on one night.

Last Tuesday, Fox had the No. 1 one sports, news and entertainment programs on cable. FX had the No. 1 entertainment show of the night, as 4.321 million watched “Sons of Anarchy.” Fox Sports 1 had the No. 1 sports program with the National League Divisional Series watched by 3.921 million. And the No. 1 news show (as it is every night) was FNC’s “The O’Reilly Factor” which was watched by 3.031 million.

Fox’s broadcast network is another story. Last Tuesday, it came in fifth for the night in viewers (2.18 million) and the A18-49 demo (1.1 rating) behind CBS, NBC ABC, and CW.

At the movies, the company’s 20th Century Fox had another good weekend, as “Gone Girl” came in first for the second week, with a cumulative take of $78.3 million.
