Fox News has signed CBS San Diego reporter Danamarie McNicholl as its new Miami-based correspondent.
McNicholl takes on the role previously held by Phil Keating, a longtime Fox Newser who exited the network earlier this year.
McNicholl is switching coasts. She spent the past two years reporting for KFMB-TV, covering San Diego’s breaking news stories, including being at the scene of an F-18 military jet crash near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

She previously served as a reporter and anchor for for KREM, the CBS station in Spokane, Wash., for four years, rising from general assignment news reporter before becoming a morning news anchor.
McNicholl will begin her role at Fox News on November 6.
