Fox News Says Ed Henry Faces ‘Serious Questions’

By Mark Joyella

Fox News chairman and chief executive Roger Ailes says a series of tabloid stories have raised “serious questions” about chief White House correspondent Ed Henry.

A week ago, the network announced Henry was taking time off to address “personal issues.” The Fox statement came in response to a story published in In Touch Weekly describing an extra-marital affair.

In a Washington Post story detailing further tabloid reports about Henry, Fox News released a statement from Ailes: “This raises serious questions about Ed’s lack of judgement, especially given his position as a journalist.”

In addition to his duties covering the White House, Henry had been working one of the prime political beats–the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.
