Fox News Marks 17 Weeks As the Most-Watched Cable Channel

By Chris Ariens

For months the cable news channels have been sitting atop the weekly rankings with non-stop coverage of the Trump White House. But sports, not news, took top billing last week at least among the advertiser-friendly A25-54 demo.

With the NBA and NHL Playoffs in full gear, TNT and NBCSN finished No. 1 and No. 2, respectively in prime time; while TNT and ESPN were No. 1 and No. 2 in total day. Fox News finished in 6th place, MSNBC in 14th place, and CNN in 19th place in prime time, among younger viewers.

Among total viewers, Fox News remains No. 1, marking 17 weeks straight in the top spot. MSNBC was No. 3 and CNN was No. 8. In prime time, TNT came in first, followed by FNC, MSNBC, NBCSN and ESPN.
