Fox News Is Way Ahead Of CBS Is Morning Show Wars, Zogby Poll Says

By Brian

Zogby knows how to get press: “In the hot battle for top morning program, ABC’s morning staple Good Morning America has edged out NBC’s Today, with 20% of American adults preferring the ABC show to its NBC rival, which received 19% in a new poll released today by Zogby International.”

The stats are based on a telephone poll of 1,027 adults, (+/- 2.9%). “Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends was the third-rated show, with 13% of respondents choosing it, while CBS’ Early Show was the choice of just one-in-twenty (5%) adults. Two-in-five (40%) adults do not watch any morning shows.” Look at FNC vs. CBS! Wow.

> Katie Couric and Diane Sawyer were both preferred by 17% of respondents. Al Roker got 11%, Matt Lauer had 7% and Charlie Gibson got 6%.

> Red-state voters are more likely than blue-state voters to watch morning shows.

> Fox & Friends is “the show watched by more Republicans than any other.”
