CentanniSSteve Centanni, a veteran foreign correspondent for Fox News Channel, is retiring.

Centanni, 68, covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2006, during an earlier flare-up in violence in Gaza, Centanni and his cameraman Olaf Wiig were kidnapped and held captive for 13 days. Centanni has been with Fox News since it launched in 1996. For the last several years, he’s been based out of FNC’s Washington, DC bureau.

Before FNC, Centanni, a San Francisco native, worked at KRON-TV and KTUU-TV. Greta Van Susteren shares her thoughts on Centanni.
