Fox News @ Night anchor Shannon Bream was set to lead her 11 p.m. nightly newscast live from the steps of the Supreme Court, but at the last second had to bail. Why? Protests broke out near her broadcast location as a result of President Trump’s decision to name D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Brett Kavanaugh his nominee for the Scotus. If confirmed by the Senate, Kavanaugh, considered a conservative-leaning jurist, will replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, a man he once clerked for.
Bream, a trained attorney and Fox News Supreme Court correspondent (in addition to 11 p.m. anchor), tweeted she felt threatened at her broadcast spot.
Very few times I’ve felt threatened while out in the field. The mood here tonight is very volatile. Law enforcement appears to be closing down 1st Street in front of SCOTUS.

Apparently the atmosphere was so charged that she and her production team decided to leave their location, and put on the show from the friendly confines of her Fox News studio:
Literally had to bail on our live show from #SCOTUS. Moving the show back to the safety of the studio. See y’all at 11p @FoxNews https://t.co/ChIOQdBBTU
