Fox Business to Host Libertarian Town Hall

By Mark Joyella

Fox Business announced Tuesday it will host a Libertarian town hall event Friday, August 26, with third-party running mates Gary Johnson and William Weld. John Stossel will moderate.

Johnson and Weld have done two town halls on CNN, the most recent last week, moderated by Anderson Cooper.

FBN’s Stossel is no stranger to the candidates, having moderated the first Libertarian debate earlier this year, with Johnson, tech software entrepreneur John McAfee, and Austin Petersen, founder of the Libertarian Republic. At the time, Stossel told TVNewser Johnson’s demeanor can be quiet at times. “I give him a hard time about being sleepy, as if he is high on weed.”

Stossel: Libertarian Town Hall, will air at 9 p.m. ET on FBN. The forum will include a studio audience posing questions to the candidates, along with questions sent in via social media and Fox Business reporters positioned in Times Square and Union Square in Manhattan, asking passers-by what they’d like to know from the Libertarian ticket.
