Fox Biz Expands to Boston, Chicago, Others Today

The Fox Business Network debuted on some Comcast Corp. stations today, which launched the channel in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Kansas City and West Palm Beach, Fl.

At the end of the roll-out, FBN will be in 32 million homes, compared to 95 million by CNBC, according to the Boston Globe.

Earlier this month, ratings leaked for FBN’s first two months, revealing very low figures. But FBN Executive Vice President Kevin Magee told the Globe that he expects the ratings to jump with the move. “Boston is a terrific market for us because there’s so much interest in financial services there. It’s such a high-tech town,” he said.
