Fox Biz: “Close To Birth?”

The buzz about the Fox Business Channel is getting louder. Ad Age’s Claire Atkinson says “carriage deals are in place with the main cable systems operators and with News Corp. sibling DirecTV, and that negotiations are very close with Time Warner Cable,” citing a “Fox insider.” A Time Warner Cable spokesperson said negotiations were continuing and a DirecTV spokesperson said “we’re in discussions.”

Also: “Analysts say recent meetings with News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch and President Peter Chernin left them with the distinct impression that the Wall Street-focused sibling is close to birth.”
