President George H.W. Bush called in to Fox & Friends Weekend to share his thoughts on the death of Tony Snow. Snow served as a speechwriter for the former president.

“You just felt comfortable with Tony. He was there to protect the president and the presidency. Barbara loved him and so did I,” Bush said.

Pres. Bush then handed off the phone to his wife, Barbara, who added, “He was loyal to the core, and to a mother that made a huge difference. I remember his unfaltering loyalty to the people he worked for and the people he knew.” Mrs. Bush choked up as she expressed her thoughts and prayers for Tony Snow’s wife Jill and their three children.
