Retired Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, a former National Security Advisor in the Trump administration, has joined CBS News as its new Foreign Policy and National Security Contributor.
The announcement was made Monday morning on CBS Mornings, where McMaster was brought on to talk about China’s potential involvement in the ongoing Ukraine conflict.
McMaster served as the United States National Security Advisor from February 2017 to April 2018. He also has a teaching position at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
