Former MSNBC Anchor David Shuster Trades Barbs With Dylan Ratigan Over Andrew Breitbart Interview

Conservative activist, author and pundit Andrew Breitbart is making the media rounds in New York this week. He spoke with CNN’s Eliot Spitzer and MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan yesterday.

The Ratigan interview caught the attention of former MSNBC reporter/anchor David Shuster, who criticized on Bill Press’s radio show (audio here) this morning, and has since taken his criticism to Twitter:

Ratigan responded to Shuster’s — and other — complaints via his own Twitter account:

While Shuster criticized the interview, he made a point of noting that his feelings were not personal toward Ratigan, tweeting: “I have no personal animosity towards @dylanratigan. Professionally, his love-in with Breitbart was inappropriate.”

Breitbart is in the middle of a media junket promoting his new book, Righteous Indignation, and was also interviewed by MSNBC’s Martin Bashir. That interview airs today.
