In an effort to build up its stable of young on-air talent, Fox News has signed one-time sports newser Abby Hornacek to be a travel and lifestyle host on its subscription-based streaming service, Fox Nation.

According to FNC, Hornacek will make her debut on Super Bowl Sunday as host of a Fox News special entitled, Fox Nation: In Depth, which will air during halftime of the Big Game. The special will promote Fox Nation.

Hornacek will then appear frequently across the Fox Nation platform –which launched in November 2018– as the host of two new series. One will be travel-focused, where Hornacek “takes viewers behind-the-scenes of the country’s most captivating landmarks around the country and showcase everything they have to offer, spotlighting various adventures along the way.”

Hornacek will also host a “ride to work” series, where she will pick up various Fox Nation personalities and interview them during their commutes to work.

“Abby brings an energetic and unique voice to the table with her sense of adventure and her ability to entertain,” said John Finley, Fox News’ svp of development and production. “We are looking forward to having her as part of the Fox Nation team.”

Hornacek added, “I am ecstatic to begin my journey here at Fox Nation, bringing a whole new realm of creative content to this innovative platform. My programs will showcase exciting trips throughout the most scenic parts of the country that I am eager to share.”

Prior to joining Fox News, Hornacek served as a contributor to ESPN and a sideline reporter for Fox Sports. She also hosted San Diego Prep Insider on Fox Sports San Diego.

And yes, she is also the daughter of Utah Jazz legend and former New York Knicks head coach, Jeff Hornacek.
