CNN has signed another critic of the Trump administration.

The network has named Josh Campbell CNN law enforcement analyst. Campbell is a former supervisory special agent for the FBI who published a New York Times op-ed this past weekend explaining why he was resigning from his role at the bureau. Campbell, who had also been special assistant to former FBI director James Comey, said the primary reason he was leaving was because he was sick of the “relentless attacks” on the bureau from critics such as Pres. Trump and a number of Republican lawmakers.

He wrote:

After more than a decade of service, which included investigating terrorism, working to rescue kidnapping victims overseas and being special assistant to the director, I am reluctantly turning in my badge and leaving an organization I love.

Why? So I can join the growing chorus of people who believe that the relentless attacks on the bureau. My resignation is painful, but the alternative of remaining quiet while the bureau is tarnished for political gain is impossible.

In his new role at CNN, Campbell will provide insight and analysis on crime, justice, breaking news and national security issues. During his tenure at the bureau, Campbell conducted numerous high-profile terrorism and kidnapping investigations and managed the FBI’s inter agency communication response strategy following crisis incidents.
