Katie Couric will anchor “Gerald Ford: Death of a President” coverage beginning tomorow. Live coverage begins around 3:20pm Friday as the family and coffin arrives at the church for the private funeral service in Palm Desert, California.
It continues around 5:20pm Saturday when Ford’s body moves to the Capitol to begin a period of lying in state.

Couric will anchor the CBS Evening News from D.C. on Saturday and Tuesday. Bob Schieffer and Douglas Brinkley will contribute to the coverage.
