For the Second Saturday in a Row, FNC Moves Biz Block for Anthony Trial

By Merrill Knox

For the second week running, Fox News Channel will have special daytime coverage of the Casey Anthony trial Saturday morning displacing the business block of programming.

In place of “Cost of Freedom,” FNC anchor Gregg Jarrett will host trial coverage beginning at 10amET with a legal panel including Judge Alex Ferrer and Peter Johnson, Jr. Jarrett will hand off the anchoring duties to Eric Shawn at 2pm.

Last Saturday, an unexpected recess in the court proceedings left cable networks scrambling to amend their planned coverage. On Thursday the defense rested their case. Gavel-to-gavel coverage of the trial has drawn big cable ratings, particularly for HLN.
