FNC’s Housley Covers Caracas Protests

Fox News is taking the lead with Hugo Chavez‘s shut-down of RCTV in Venezuela. Correspondent Adam Housley reported via videophone from Caracas over the weekend, beaming dramatic pictures of protests back to the U.S.

Producer Nora Zimmett blogged about the scene as the station ceased broadcasting at midnight Monday: “As I ran, covered my head, and kept shooting video (and tried to keep my expletives to a minimum so the video would be airable), I managed to call our New York Assignment Desk and tell them what was going on. I didn’t have to say much. The shotgun fire gave it away.”
