FNC “Watched Helplessly” As Kiran Jumped To CNN? Doesn’t Sound Like It

This morning’s Newsday column about the AM changes inaccurately asserted that Fox News “watched helplessly” as Kiran Chetry headed to CNN in February. But has Fox ever sat and “watched helplessly?”

Maybe Verne Gay should have paid more attention to TVNewser a month ago when news broke of Chetry’s demand to host Fox & Friends and her subsequent dismissal. (Chetry denies it.)

Gay also says FNC lost a “hot prospect” — but a Fox insider points out that they’re “known for having developed talent and created stars… Fox doesn’t let talent whom they consider valuable just slip away.” The Fox insider adds, “The only thing more clueless than his assertions is Verne himself.”
