According to data provided by Social Bakers, Fox News Channel is the No. 1 news organization on Facebook based on domestic fans and engagement.
FNC has been delivering more domestic Facebook fans than any other news organization on the social network for 29 consecutive months (as of Oct 26, 2014). In addition, FNC delivered 13 million interactions in the month of October, ahead of The Huffington Post with 10.9 million and BuzzFeed with 7.1 million. “Interactions” are the combination of like, comments and shares on the social media site.
This might seem hard to believe, but the survey shows FNC’s Facebook post coverage of the Ottawa Shooting averaged 534,595 interactions – beating ABC, The Huffington Post, NBC News, CNN, The New York Times, MSNBC and CBS News’ coverage combined. See the report after the jump.
Out of all media brands on Facebook, FNC is also the only news network to rank in the Top 10 coming in at No. 7, according to Social Bakers. CNN is No. 16 and MSNBC did not finish among the Top 100.
