A fire at Cleveland bar and grill the Harry Buffalo this morning forced the evacuation of the restaurant, which CNN has taken over this week and dubbed the CNN Grill. A grease trap may be the cause.
The Harry Buffalo sits just across from the main security check-in for the Quicken Loans Arena, site of this week’s Republican National Convention. The fire meant major delays for delegates and media entering the venue.
The CNN Grill reopened this afternoon, but without the grill. Diners were treated to a buffet of cold cuts, cheese, humus and salads. We’re told the kitchen, including the grill, should be up and running tomorrow.
Spotted there tonight: Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteren, and Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone.
