February ’10 Ratings: Fox News Remains Firmly Atop Cable News

Fox News continued to draw the most viewers in cable news, and finished February as the #3 network in all of cable.

Total day (Mon-Sun): 1.29M total viewers / 344k A25-54
Prime (Mon-Sun): 2.16M total viewers / 531k A25-54

“Special Report” finished the month as the #3 program on the network — and on cable news — in total viewers, behind “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Glenn Beck” (#4 in the demo behind “Hannity”). “FOX Report” was #5 in total viewers and the demo.

“Special Report” is up +20% year-to-year in total viewers and +17% in the demo, the most growth of any program on the network. “The Factor” was up +13% in the demo and “Your World” grew +10% in total viewers.

In total day and primetime, FNC topped CNN, MSNBC, and HLN combined. For the second month in a row, FNC had the top 13 programs in total viewers and the demo.

FNC was the only network up in total day compared to a year ago (+3% in total viewers and +5% demo), and was up in the primetime demo (+3%) but down in primetime total viewers (-10%). All the cable nets were down in primetime total viewers.

Megyn Kelly’s new show, “America Live,” drew 1.30M total viewers (318K demo), up +6% in total viewers and +10% in the demo against the same time slot (1-3pmET) last year.

As we mentioned, “FOX & Friends” hit 100 months as the #1 morning show.
