FBN: The Look

By Chris Ariens

In the early going FBN is using a stacked lower graphic presentation. The first line is specific to the story on the air, the next line includes a series of three tabs which advance. They include business sectors such as healthcare, consumer and telecom. Under the tab a particular company and its current stock price appears. The tabs can also be set to scroll news headlines as well including U.S. news, world news, business news. MSNBC experimented with a similar lower third look last year.

FBN’s VP of graphics, Ray Lambiase was, until earlier this year, MSNBC’s design VP.

>Update: The Dow/NASDAQ/S&P stats replace the crawl during the lead-up to trading (futures) and during the trading day.
