Evening news leader “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” had its best advantage over ABC “World News with Diane Sawyer” since the week of July 8. The NBC broadcast has now been No. 1 for 258 of the last 259 weeks among total viewers.
“Nightly News” was the only broadcast to show year-over-year total viewer growth (+8%), while “World News” was the only broadcast to grow among younger viewers (+2%). No. 3 “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” was flat among total viewers and down -12% in the demo.
