“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was the most-watched evening newscast last week, but No. 2 “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” is gaining in the younger demo. For the 8th straight week, “World News” cut its year-to-year gap with “Nightly News” by double-digits in A25-54 viewers.
“World News” was the only broadcast to grow in both total viewers and younger viewers year-over-year: +3% / +8%, respectively. “Nighty News” was up in viewers (+4%) and flat in the demo. Once again, “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” showed the most growth in viewers (+6%) but the biggest drop in younger viewers (-15%) compared to the same week last year.
