Brian Williams’s “NBC Nightly News” was number one again last week, but, as we’ve seen in recent weeks, only Scott Pelley’s “CBS Evening News” is showing growth year-over-year.
“Evening News” is up +10% in total viewers and up +9% in younger viewers. “Nightly” and “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” are down -4% total viewers and also down in the demo. While still running third, this is the closest CBS has been to winning the demo since the week of March 19, 2007.
The “CBS Evening News” average is based on 4 days, as Thursday’s broadcast was retitled “CBS-Evening-Nws” due to the VP Debate.
