Evening News Ratings: Week of October 29

During a week which saw extensive coverage of Superstorm Sandy, “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was the #1 choice in the evenings. “Nightly” drew 2+ million more viewers than an average week and saw it largest viewership since the first week of the London Olympics. “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” and “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” also saw large viewership increases for the week: +1.6 million more for ABC and +1.3 million more for CBS. It was “World News’s” best week since Feb. 2011. Year-over-year CBS is up the most in total viewers: +22%, NBC is up +16% and ABC is up +12%.
