Evening News Ratings: Week of Oct. 6

By Chris Ariens

evening news_2014As we await updated Nielsen evening news ratings data for the week of Sept. 29, we’ve just received the numbers for last week, Oct. 6.

As has been the trend, ABC’s “World News Tonight with David Muir” has won the A25-54 news demo while “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” is first among total viewers.

Initially, ABC took the week of Sept. 29 in all measurements, but their total viewer win — which would be the first in 5 years — is in doubt. The week of Sept. 22 was restated over the weekend. The numbers being significantly different, but it did not affect the overall standings.
