By A.J. Katz

NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt won the week of Nov. 19 across all relevant audience measurements, and hit a 41-week high in total viewers. That said, the broadcast was down relative to the comparable Thanksgiving holiday-shortened week in 2017, -5 percent in total viewers and -10 percent in A25-54 viewers.

ABC World News Tonight with David Muir ranked No. 2 across the board behind NBC. This was also true during the comparable week in 2017.  The newscast was -3 percent in total viewers and -3 percent in A25-54 viewers versus that same week last last year. It gave Nightly News far more of a run for its money this year compared to last, but still finished in second place. Also, World News Tonight aired out of pattern in Chicago and Los Angeles last Monday, and on Friday the newscast didn’t air on the West Coast.

CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor posted an -8 percent loss among total viewers and a -15 percent loss among A25-54 viewers vs. Thanksgiving week in 2017.
