For the 14th consecutive week, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt was the No. 1 evening newscast in both total viewers and the key news demo of A25-54.
Nightly was up 4 percent in total viewers and up 4 percent in the news demo from the comparable week in 2015.
ABC World News Tonight with David Muir finished second in both key categories. The program was up .01 percent in total viewers year-over-year, but down 9 percent in the news demo. World News edged Nightly News by a very slim margin in both categories this week last year.
CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley is still far behind the ABC/NBC competition in total viewers, but crept closer to World News in the news demo. Evening News was up 2 percent in total viewers from the comparable week in 2015 and up 3 percent in the news demo.
