“CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” showed the most growth of the evening newscasts last week, when compared to the same week last year.
Pelley’s broadcast, which remains two million viewers behind “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” and one million behind “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer,” was up +8% in viewers and up +7% in the A25-54 demo.
Sawyer’s broadcast, too, was up in both measurements: +5% and +6%, respectively. And for the third consecutive week, “World News” narrowed its week-to-week gaps with “Nightly” in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.
“Nightly News” continues its grip a the top, up +6% in viewers but down -9% in the demo vs. last year. “Nightly” has not lost week in Total Viewers in four-and-a-half years.
