For someone who’s never anchored a newscast, Scott Pelley had about 5.7 million people watching him each night last week on the “CBS Evening News.” Pelley’s debut week on the broadcast brought Total Viewer and A25-54 viewer growth, both week-to-week and year-over-year. All three broadcasts experienced growth, with “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” #1 across the board.
Because of the NBA and NHL finals last week, ABC’s weekly average is based on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; while NBC’s average is based on Monday-Thursday.
