The gap between ABC’s World News and NBC Nightly News continues to tighten, from 690,000 three weeks ago to 480,000 two weeks ago, to 280,000 last week.

Still, NBC “had its worst performance since the advent of people meters in adults 18-49 and had the second lowest rated week ever in adults 25-54,” a network tipster says.

For the week of June 4:

Total viewers: ABC: 7,710,000 / NBC: 7,430,000 / CBS: 6,000,000

Households: ABC: 5.4/12 / CBS: 5.3/12 / NBC: 4.3/9

25-54 demo: ABC: 1.9/8 / NBC: 1.8/8 / CBS: 1.5/7

18-49 demo: ABC: 1.4 / NBC: 1.3 / CBS: 1.2

> Note: The NBC numbers are based on a three-day average due to NHL games. ABC also had low coverage (93 percent) on Thursday, but their ratings are a five-day average.
