ABC’s World News Tonight won another week across the board and was the only evening newscast to see growth.
Compared to the same week last year the David Muir-anchored show was up +5 percent in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo.
NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt came in second, and showed viewer growth of +1 percent, but was down -9 percent in the demo. The CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor was down -5 percent in viewers and down -7 percent in the demo.
NBC removed Monday and Thursday due to the Stanley Cup finals. ABC removed Wednesday and Friday due to the NBA finals. NBC’s average is based on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; ABC is based on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. CBS Evening News is based on all 5 days.
