Evening News Ratings: Week of June 1

ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir is the No. 1 newscast in both total viewers and the adults 25-54 demo for the first week of June. And for the first time since the 1995-1996 season Muir’s newscast is winning the A25-54 demo season-to-date.

World News Tonight is up the most in the demo compared to the same week last year (+6 percent) while the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley, with Charlie Rose filling in, is up the most in viewers (+11 percent). The CBS broadcast added +630,000 viewers and closed the viewership gap with NBC by 630,000 viewers compared to the same week last year. Only NBC Nightly News saw a demo decline. The show was flat in viewers and down -3 percent in the demo.

NBC and ABC based on 4-day averages due to NHL (Wed) and NBA finals (Thu), respectively.
