During the holiday-shortened week, ABC’s World News tonight remained the most-watched evening newscast and NBC Nightly News continued at No. 1 in the advertiser-friendly A25-54 demo.
Compared to the same week last year ABC was down -4 percent in viewers and down -12 percent in the demo; NBC was down -7 percent in viewers and down -19 percent in the demo; and the CBS Evening News was down -11 percent in viewers and down -29 percent in the demo.
Due to the July 4 holiday, all three evening newscasts were rated for three days (Wed-Fri).
