NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was the top rated evening newscast for the first week of 2009 in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo. It was the 13th consecutive week NBC won in Total Viewers and seventh in the demo.
Week-to-week, NBC and ABC grew in Total Viewers, while all three grew in the demo. This was ABC’s best week in both categories in three weeks, and the network gained the most viewers week-to-week.
