Evening News Ratings: Week of February 6

The three evening newscasts continue to see year-over-year viewership drops, especially in the younger demo.

ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir won the week of Feb. 6, 2017 among total viewers, by +1 percent over NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Meanwhile, Holt’s broadcast won the demo by +10 percent advantage over ABC.

But viewership is trending down vs. 2016, when the presidential primaries filled the news cycle. Nightly News was down -4 percent in viewers and down -8 percent in the demo; World News Tonight was down -1 percent in viewers and down -9 percent in the demo; the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley was down -5 percent in viewers and down -16 percent in the demo.
