The evening news ratings returned to pre-Egypt chaos levels last week, even though the resignation of Hosni Mubarak occurred early Friday giving the newscasts a solid lead for that night. “NBC Nightly News” was again #1 for the week, with just shy of 10 million total viewers, but down 1.35 million viewers from the week before. ABC “World News” and the “CBS Evening News” also each lost about 1 million viewers week-to-week. Year-over-year, all three shows were down from what was a busy news week of Feb. 8, 2010.
Numbers for the week of Feb. 7:
|• Total Viewers:||9,940,000||8,830,000||6,410,000|
