
ABC World Tonight earned a solid across the board victory for the week of Feb. 18.
Anchored by David Muir, World News outperformed its NBC competition by +606,000 total viewers, and +25,000 adults 25-54.
The ABC evening newscast has now ranked No. 1 in total viewers for 21 out of the first 22 weeks of the broadcast season.
For the 2nd week in a row, WNT posted gains vs. the comparable week in 2018. This past week, the broadcast was +2 percent in total viewers and +4 percent in A25-54 viewers.
Season to-date, World News ranks No. 1 in total viewers for the third year in a row after finishing as the No. 1 evening newscast for the last two seasons, and is delivering its largest total viewer lead in 23 years – since the 1995-96 season.
The NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt finished second place across the board. Despite the runner up finish, the broadcast was a solid +7 percent in total viewers, yet -3 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. the comparable week in 2018.
Nightly News has ranked No. 1 in the key A25-54 demo 43 of the last 44 months, and is the most-watched evening newscast in that measurement this season to-date.
CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor held steady among total viewers, but was -4 percent in A25-54 viewers.
