
ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir is in the midst of its longest run as the most-watched evening newscast in two decades. It’s also the only newscast to see growth compared to the same week last year. The ABC broadcast was up +3 percent in viewers and up +2 percent in the demo vs. last year.
World News Tonight is leading NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt by +1 percent season-to-date. Holt’s newscast was once again most-watched in the demo, with an +8 percent lead on ABC. Nightly News, which has been No. 1 in the demo for 62 straight weeks, lost audience vs. last year, down -2 percent in viewers and down -6 percent in the demo.
The CBS Evening News with Anthony Mason is also down year-over-year: down -8 percent in viewers and down -15 percent in the demo.
