In the third quarter of 2006, NBC Nightly News was #1 in total viewers, homes and the 25-54 demographic.
“For the quarter, the NBC program averaged 7.965 million total viewers, 7% more (+547,000) than ABC World News Tonight’s 7.418 million, and a 10% advantage (+740,000) over CBS Evening News’ 7.225 million,” NBC says. From June 26 to Sept. 17:
