ESPNews anchor Dari Nowkhah has been named the new host of ESPNU’s studio desk in Charlotte, N.C., and will assume his new role on the 24-hour college sports network on July 27.

Since joining ESPN in 2004, Nowkhah has served as host of College Football Overdrive, College Football Live and SEC Network studio shows, as well as regularly anchoring SportsCenter. This past January Nowkhah and Mel Kiper Jr. debuted ESPN Radio’s weekly Dari and Mel Show (Saturday’s 8 a.m. – noon ET).

“I’m a college sports junkie and to be a host on a network devoted entirely to college sports, well, that’s just a dream come true,” said Nowkhah of his new position.
