ESPN Fires Curt Schilling

ESPN has fired Curt Schilling, one day after the baseball analyst shared an anti-transgender post on his Facebook page.

Wednesday evening the network released a terse statement: “ESPN is an inclusive company. Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated.”

Schilling was suspended last August for sending a Nazi-themed message on his Twitter account.

Schilling apologized, calling his actions “100% my fault” last summer, but Tuesday he appeared to ridicule the reaction to his anti-LGBT message, writing in a blog post “this latest brew ha ha is beyond hilarious.”
