ESPN Adds Washington Investigative Reporter

ESPN has hired investigative reporter Tisha Thompson; she will join the investigative team at Outside the Lines and begin reporting in January.

“For years, she’s worked hard to hold the powerful accountable,” said senior coordinating producer Dwayne Bray. “You don’t win 22 Emmys without great perseverance and dedication. She has the promise to be a difference-maker in the journalism we do at ESPN.”

“ESPN greatly values investigative reporting and has what I consider to be the strongest group of investigative producers, reporters, photographers and editors in the nation,” said Thompson. “I am thrilled to be joining their team.”

Thompson has worked as an investigative reporter for Washington NBC-owned station WRC, and before that for Fox-owned WTTG. She will remain based in Washington.
