Eric Bolling Apologizes Again For Inapproriate Comment: ‘I’m Sorry For What I Said’

By Chris Ariens

BollingApologyFor the second day in a row, Eric Bolling is apologizing for a bad joke he made Wednesday about Major Mariam Al Mansouri, the UAE’s first female fighter pilot.

On Wednesday’s “The Five,” the hosts were talking about Al Mansouri’s strike mission against ISIS.

“So is this considered boobs on the ground?,” said Bolling, who was roundly and swiftly criticized.

So yesterday he apologized: “When I got home, I got the look and realized some people didn’t think it was funny at all. I want to say sorry to my wife, and I apologize to all of you as well. I want to make that very clear.”

But it wasn’t clear enough. Today he apologized again:

A personal comment before we go to break. Earlier this week I made a comment that was wholly inappropriate. And I apologize for it. The comment became during [Kimberly’s] one more thing honoring UAE bomber pilot Major Mariam Al Mansouri who bombed ISIS. My remark was not intended to be disparaging of her, but that’s how it was taken. I should have known better, and used better judgment.

Yesterday, I made an apology on this show, but it was inadequate. Fox News has received letters from viewers including from women in the military and I’m taking them to heart. Therefore let me speak clearly and sincerely. I’m sorry for what I said, I believe that Major Al Mansouri is a hero. She’s courageous, brave and she deserves our praise and not inappropriate jokes. She has my admiration and my very, very sincere gratitude.

Greg Gutfeld apologized on the program as well for comments directed at Major Al Mansouri. WATCH:
