The latest edition of Elle features “five fearless correspondents and reporters that are blazing new trails” in the world of cable news. The magazine mentions that Megyn Kelly, Rachel Maddow and Andrea Mitchell have cleared a path for the next class of prominent female TV newsers.
CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, FNC’s Sandra Smith, Bloomberg’s Stephanie Ruhle, Fusion’s Alicia Menendez and MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt are the five females featured in the story.
“When either major stories break or something just really touches me, I initiate and pitch, then follow through,” Baldwin told Elle. “I will literally march across the newsroom and bang on the president of CNN’s door.”
