Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaves Fox & Friends

It was a tearful goodbye for Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Fox & Friends this morning. Hasselbeck, who is leaving to spend more time with her family, thanked “one heck of a family and team” at Fox News led by “one great man,” FNC chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.

Hasselbeck said Ailes gave her two gifts: “One: he gave me the opportunity to join you all in this family. And two: he gave me an outstanding amount of understanding and guidance when I decided to make this decision to go home.

“I will be watching you. You’re going to continue this awesome work that you were doing,” said Hasselbeck surrounded by Fox & Friends staffers. “I’ve been so blessed by all of you.”

Hasselbeck joined Fox & Friends in September 2013 after 10 years as a co-host of The View. Fox has not yet settled on a new co-host for Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy.
